Nike Basketball

I was asked to develop a series of key visuals and logos for the stage II of Nike´s Basketball ongoing campaign where I used their main photos of a selection of athletes crossing it with the official look and feel of the campaign.

I tried to create something that would be inspired by the court lines, the ball grid and to imagine how it would work as a logotype that could be easily adapted and scaled to become an ornament on the many different key visuals, intersecting lines with imagery with a specific color palette.

These are merely experiments on different concepts for the logos and how we could play with the idea of rising up within the basketball universe. The ones I ended up liking more were the ones who were more rigid and structured, which reminded me of badges so then I explored that idea a little bit more and also with the ball itself, in a more iconographical clean style.

Then I created the key visuals with a concrete texture as a background and a noisy texture on the logos to sort of cut the clean modern look present in the colorful funky layouts in which the court lines intersect the subject and also frame it.
